On February 7, 2016, the Adventist church in Western Switzerland will be celebrating a big event: the 150th year of the first Adventist baptism in Switzerland & in Europe.

It was a Wednesday evening, on February 7, 1866 in Lake Neuchatel, by the light of lanterns, when the first two Swiss Adventists were baptized: Jean Geymet, coming from the Vaudois valleys, and Pigeront Louise, a woman known for her intelligence and considerable influence in the region. They were the first fruits of the work of Czechowski in the Fleurier region.

That is why, to follow suit, on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2 pm, 150 years later, a special program will be held at the Adventist church in Neuchatel, followed by a baptism in the lake, organized by all churches of the district.

Fatima Servin will be baptized in the Lake Neuchatel, as Geymet and Pigeront were, 150 years ago. Everybody is very welcome to participate in this wonderful event.
