ADRA Romania, with the support of a unique financier from the field of expertise "Education and Basic Health", proposed and successfully realized this project that contributes to the development of the education process in optimal conditions.
The project "Steps to the future!" took place over a period of 2 months and 24 days, starting on February 28, 2024 and ending on May 22, 2024. The aim of the project, with an investment of EUR 16,000, was to improve educational conditions by elevating the space intended for the education process to current and modern standards.
Present at the event, Robert Georgescu, executive director of ADRA, said: "Children and young people are the main beneficiaries of ADRA. We are happy that the number of these ADRA Romania beneficiaries is constantly growing in your locality and that, through this partnership, you have the opportunity to benefit from the same modern facilities as those in other places that have more opportunities. However, we believe that equality is not only determined by the place where the activity is carried out, but also by motivation, determination, the proposed objectives, and the personnel involved. It is a privilege for us to be here. Keep cherishing ADRA for each of you,” concluded Georgescu.
"We thank you deeply for the implementation of this project in our school and we assure you that it is of major importance for both children and teachers," said Cristian Neagoe, mayor of Talea commune, Prahova.
"I am delighted to see and hear about all the wonderful things happening in Talea township, especially the beautiful initiative of ADRA. By collaborating with the local authorities, ADRA brought a great benefit to the children, an important step towards a better future. Students will benefit from a quality education, having the necessary equipment for their development. Thank you to all those involved and may God bless you," said Adrian Andrei, pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church - Muntenia Conference.
"We have been few teachers in this school for many years and we have tried many times to find solutions for sponsorships,” shared Gabriela Neguțescu, director of Talea Secondary School, Prahova.
“It was difficult, but you are the first to [make] this wonderful gesture for us. The collaboration with ADRA was extraordinary. The work behind the project was hard and only those who participated know this, but, for us, the result is wonderful. The quality education that we want to provide to students is based on creating a healthy and pleasant environment for classes, and this would not have been possible without the help of ADRA. We thank you all for everything you have offered us!" concluded Neguțescu.
