As part of the "Hope for Ukraine" project, ADRA Romania organized the 74th convoy between October 29-30, 2023. The humanitarian transport conveyed 32 tons of food and non-food products, books, and clothing and shoes with a value of over 55,750 euros. During this trip, ADRA enjoyed both the support of the main sponsor - ADRA Spain (that supported with donations worth 20,000 EURO), as well as the support of the Romanian Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Life and Health Publishing House, and many others. Thus, ADRA was able to send to the Ukrainian neighbors 94 pallets with products that were transported in 15 cars.
The 36 employees and volunteers of ADRA Romania met in Chernivtsi with managers and volunteers of ADRA Ukraine from several regions. Together, they deposited the donations that will be distributed in the Ukrainian regions affected by the war.
The Romanian Union’s treasurer, Emil Jigău, also participated and commented: "It is a privilege for me to be with all the staff. I noticed your precious work; it is a fulfillment of the purpose that ADRA has”.
“We do not only look to the future, but we are also concerned with the present needs and problems of our fellow men. Your service to Ukraine is an example for the whole world”, concluded Jigâu.
“You are a team with a big heart, a zeal for life to save tens of thousands of people”, stated Stanislav Nosov, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ukraine. “ADRA Romania inspires us to serve God in times of war and great trials. Thank you very much, ADRA Romania! May God's blessings be upon you", added President Nosov.
