Bern, Switzerland [ADRA Switzerland; CD-EUDNews]. The conflict in Syria is persisting, and vulnerable people are still fleeing. Since the beginning of the Civil War, the number of dead is in the tens of thousands.

Lately, the ADRA Staff visited two families of Syrian refugees in Mafraq, Jordan. Rasha crossed the border with her children with nothing other than their clothes. In Mafraq, she rented a room on the roof of an unfinished building for CHF 200.00/month. The family has no kitchen and the bathroom/WC are shared with five other families living on the roof of the building. Her husband and her brother are in prison in Syria, but this is nothing new to them. Together with the 'Swiss Solidarity (Glueckskette), ADRA Switzerland supports 250 refugee families with a housing allowance of CHF 130.00/month. It's good to see that aid actually reaches the families who so desperately need it. We wish to express our thanks to our donors.

Every day, thousands of additional refugees cross the border and many of them need our support. Help us with a donation to the Postal Account 80-26526-3, marked "Syria." We thank you in advance for your generosity!
