According to ADRA Ukraine, the organisation helps residents with free transport from areas where fighting is taking place, as well as helping returnees and people from remote regions who need medical consultations or appointments with authorities. The relief organisation provides legal advice on legal issues and psychological support. At the same time, many people are still being helped with food and, more recently, with building materials to renovate flats and houses.

Food aid

A total of 950 people living in the border regions of Donetsk and facing food shortages on a daily basis have received assistance. The project is co-financed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and ADRA Switzerland.

Evacuation drives

ADRA Ukraine is conducting evacuation drives from the Kharkiv region to safer areas. People fleeing floods caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam are being evacuated from Kherson. ADRA Ukraine's free assistance could also be used by people with reduced mobility and their companions, who would be transported by special means. The project is financially supported by the Canadian and German governments, as well as ADRA Germany and ADRA South Korea.

Transport for people returning home

ADRA Ukraine transports people who are able to return home after an evacuation, including with the help of special transports for people with limited mobility. The Canadian government provides financial support for the project.

Legal advice for internally displaced persons

Internally displaced persons and residents of Kryvyi Rih in the south of the country received free assistance from ADRA Ukraine through a licensed lawyer. In particular, he provides legal advice on issues such as compensation procedures for destroyed dwellings, granting of pension payments, deregistration of a person who has emigrated to another country, or specifics of crossing the border with a child. The project is co-financed by the German government and ADRA Germany.

Building material

20 families in Hostomel, in the Kyiv region, have received vouchers for building materials to rebuild their homes. The project is financially supported by the ADRA country offices in Australia, the Republic of China, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and ADRA International.

Psychological support

Psychologists contracted by ADRA Ukraine conducted training to strengthen inner resources as well as stabilise emotional states, reduce anxiety and regulate emotions. Art and music therapy methods were used during the training. The project is co-funded by the Government of Canada.
