From June 9 to 16, 2024, Newbold College hosted a “Training of Trainers” session bringing together Adventist leaders from various regions. This event aimed to strengthen the mission of the Adventist Church within the Muslim community, providing pastors and lay members with effective tools and strategies.

Meaningful participation and engagement

The session attracted strong participation, highlighting strong support and interest across the different divisions and unions. The discussions were rich and oriented towards a respectful approach, in harmony with our fundamental values.

The method of “sincere friendship”

One of the key points of the training was the adoption of the “Sincere Friendship Method” to improve mission among Muslims. Before sharing your faith, it is crucial to ask yourself: “Do they trust me enough as a sincere friend?” Trust is essential and must be built before engaging in any spiritual discussion.

Notable encounters and enthusiastic support

The participation of Pastor Florian Ristea, head of missions at the Inter-European Division, was a highlight. His positive feedback and support for initiatives in Europe have been very encouraging.

Results and progress

The training allowed for the emergence of innovative ideas, strengthen relationships between leaders, and enthusiastic support from participants. The desired goal is that, together, participants can continue to move forward with faith and compassion to effectively serve and witness to all communities, including their Muslim friends.

Together, let's practice Christ's method: mingle with people, show sympathy, meet their needs, gain their trust, and then invite them to follow Jesus.
