Bern, Switzerland [CD-EUDNews, Youth Dep.]. Eight million Adventist youths are called to mobilize on the streets of our villages, towns, and cities around the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus through acts of kindness. A simple, global, and relevant strategy has been devised.
Global Youth Day 2013 (see EUD News March 19, 2013) proved to be a blessing that exceeded our wildest expectations. Almost four million people were reached through the social media campaign and we received more than 10,000 video uploads from all over the world that portrayed our youth in action. Three live studio uplinks from Australia, Germany, and the United States took GYD to the rest of the world.
On Sabbath, March 15, 2014, our youth will hear one less sermon in the morning. They will be the sermon. They will step out of the building to be the Church and reach out in the name of Jesus.
There are several new and exciting elements to GYD 2014. This year, there are 20 live sites around the world producing 24 hour coverage. There are several ways you can watch GYD live coverage as stories are shared around the world:
Hope Church Channel (22 hours live), Hope Channel Global (2 hours live), www.hopetv.org, www.globalyouthday.org, the GYD app.
“Share Your GYD Story!” said Gilbert Cangy, World wide Adventist Youth Leader, “you can share your GYD experience on the GYD website (www.globalyouthday.org) or on the App.” The app is available for Apple and Android devices. The GYD app is officially out on the iOS App Store. Get it at: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/global-youth-day/id819848768?mt=8
Gilbert Cangy invites youth to share photo with a caption on this App just clicking "contribute". “Your device will automatically locate your geographical region so that others can watch as photos are pinned on the world map!” No limits to the technology!

The most beautiful message that the church may receive is without any doubt the enthusiastic, passionate and motivated involvement of its youth in community services and social projects. 'Be the sermon' is not just a slogan, it is a lifestyle! "declared Corrado Cozzi, Communication Director in the Inter-European Region.
