On April 24, 2016, a week before the celebration of Easter, according to the Eastern Orthodox tradition, the Children Ministry Department of Seventh-day Adventist Church organized a Children’s Conference titled “The Way of
the resurrection”. The conference took place in Sofia in the building of the Bulgarian Union. The same event will be repeated in the two other largest cities of the country – Plovdiv and Varna. About 120 children attended the celebration, each of them accompanied by at least one parent or another relative. For about two hours they had to visit 6 different stations that reproduced different moments of the last week of Jesus’ life on the earth. Scenography, setting, and organization were so well done that the participants could feel themselves involved into the atmosphere of Jerusalem in the days of Jesus’ Passion. The special guest of the conference was Elsa Cozzi – Children’s Ministry Department Director of the EUD. She took part of organization and preparation of the event with many other CHM leaders and teachers from Sofia. “This was an amazing event! My nephew and I were impressed with the vivid recreation (reconstruction) of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus and the events around Resurrection. Congratulations to the whole team who made this possible. We are really looking forward to participating in the next event!”, so Аna Grigorova, a School teacher. We are grateful to all children and adults that have taken part at this event, either in the preparation or in participation. They all had a good time enjoying this special experience. We praise God for the many talents He granted to people who created, prepared and organized the whole project. It is all to His glory. We pray for the children and parents who attended, that they may know and experience Jesus personally as the most important part of their lives and decide to be His disciples.
