Germany: Opening of the first Hope Centre in Bensheim and Bremen

On Monday, May 29, 2017, the Seventh-day Adventist Church opened the first meeting centre under the name "Hope Centre" in cooperation with the Christian radio and television Hope Channel in Bensheim-Auerbach. A second Hope Centre has already opened in Bremen on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

According to the slogan "getting together", the Hope Centre offers space for meetings, community, cultural and health care as well as exchange and assistance to life issues in a pleasant cafe' and living room atmosphere. In addition, Hope Channel Radio and Television will offer the Hope Bible Studies and the Hope tape/CD library will be available on location.

The Hope Centre in Bensheim is located in the newly renovated former railway station building on Otto-Beck-Strasse 32. The opening ceremony was on Monday, May 29th from 5 p.m. in the venue and premises of the Hope Centre.

The Hope Centre in Bremen is located at Findorffstrasse 105. The opening ceremony took place on Thursday, June 1st, from 12 noon on the premises of the Hope Centre. After a buffet at 6:30 p.m., an evening concert took place at 8 p.m.

Visitors were welcome to the following programs at the Hope Centres:

Bensheim: German courses for refugees, meeting place for football and creative groups, followed by a joint meal by Hope Channel broadcast "The BIBLE. The LIFE" with subsequent discussion, or a look at "Shabbat Shalom", or a monthly special event on subjects such as preventive medicine, health, communication, etc.

Bremen: Christianity and current lifestyles, keynote speakers and discussions on "Hope College" broadcasts, cooking workshops on the television series "Lust auf Lecker" (A Craving for Delicious Food), literary readings, cultural and media advice, follow-up discussions on the TV series, "The BIBLE. The LIFE" as well as open dialogue for singles, women, men and discussion groups for people in trauma or loss.
