NAD (North American Division) Office of Communication director Dan Weber, and associate director, Julio Muñoz, traveled to New York City on Nov. 2, 2016, to interview "Hacksaw Ridge" director Mel Gibson and writer Robert Schenkkan during the Premiere of the Movie.
Gibson and Schenkkan share their thoughts on Army medic Desmond Doss, the Adventist whose story is told in the new film "Hacksaw Ridge."
Mel Gibson commented shortly the film, by saying: “It is a great compelling story about a man whose convictions and faith allowed him to do things beyond his own power. He was a very humble guy. He didn’t credit himself for his achievements, but God. I am so inspired but that character. I think everyone should share this story.
Finally, Mel Gibson addressed the Adventist Global Community: “I hope you’ll all see the movie. This man (Desmond Doss) is one of yours.”
