"The Adventist Church deplores all forms of racism, discrimination and inequality. The Adventist Church strongly believes in the respect and dignity of every person and people of any ethnic origin or belief. Any event that breaches the limits of respect, dignity and love is contrary to the teachings of our Saviour Jesus Christ, be it in communication or verbal expression anywhere and by any individual. We are all children of God and equally worthy to stand before Him. It is important to remember that judgment belongs to God, not to men.
As Christians and therefore as people who express the fruits of the Spirit, which is the character of Christ, we are required to behave in a decent, respectful, loving and fraternal way. It is a divine mandate. Expressions of violence and accusation do not belong to the vocabulary of a Christian.
Each church, on a local, national or regional level is invited to meet these divine principles in their communities, keeping in distance those who break the rules of universal brotherhood and community, but doing it with love and respect. May the Lord help us to maintain harmony and love in our communities. May the Lord help also us to express the character of Christ."
