Silver Spring, September 26, 2012. [CD-EUDnews]. During 4 days, from September 26 to 30, about 50 Adventists delegates, coming from all around the world, are meeting to animate a Media Summit organized by the presidency of the General Conference Seventh-day Adventist Church. “Our media and communication entities can become an even greater powerhouse for reaching the world with the gospel if we integrate our efforts and plan in a more systematic way” said Elder Ted Wilson, president of the worldwide Adventist Church. This Media Summit has the purpose to answer to questions like : Can we have a more powerful impact on the populations of the world by developing a common presentation of our church and its message? Should we have a recognizable “brand” that becomes automatically associated with Seventh-day Adventists? Can we develop a strategy to fill the gaps in our evangelism/mission outreach and presence? How can we work together with coordination and impact?

All the delegates are invited to be part of a working group of around 50 people, not just to talk about these things, but to lay out concrete ways in which this can be accomplished. Delegates are invited to discuss and plan how the world church can better integrate its media and communication activities. How can we collaborate in such a way as to make our various channels of communication more powerful so that the Adventist Church and its message can be heard and understood by a much larger number of people in the world. Proposals for strategic action are strongly expected.
