A Coordination of institutions and Muslim federations in Europe sent the following press release: "We, the Muslim institutions and federations of Europe, signatories to this appeal: We forcefully condemn these cowardly, odious and despicable attacks. We are saddened by the barbarous attacks and with deep emotion join with pain and distress to the families and relatives of the victims; to them we send our deepest condolences and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
We express our sympathy and solidarity to the French community and we ask the people of Europe to be united and together confront this barbarism that cannot use faith nor religion. Consider those who have attacked France 'today, and yesterday', they are dedicated to a war against Europe and against the values of the vast majority of Europeans. We believe that it is by being united and supportive, by standing vigilant and faithful to our values of freedom, equality and fraternity that we will finally defeat terrorism and barbarism.
Institutions and Islamic Federations in Europe, signatories of this appeal, wish to express profound condosences and feel with the people of France during this national mourning. We call on Muslims in Europe to intensify the times of prayer and meditation in memory of all the victims of terrorism".
