"We pray for comfort for those who have suffered the loss of their loved ones and for a fast recovery of those who are injured", so the spanish Union leaders.

After consultation with the leaders of Adventist congregations in the district of Galicia, there is so far no news that any member or supporter of the denomination, or family, are among the victims and / or those affected by this terrible disaster.

Bruno Vertallier, President of the Seventh-Day Adventist church in the EUD region declared : "With all of my heart and with the church in the EUD I want to tell how much we sympathize with the people who are suffering after the train tragedy which occurred in Santiago. We grieve with all the families which have lost a dear one. This invites us to remain in the hope of our Savior. It is sure that He will come back and we want to share this good news to the many people affected by this tragedy. May the Lord bless Spain in a special way during this time of sorrow!"
