Quality control of nursing homes. Top marks for Adventist nursing homes

Hannover, Germany, August 23, 2012/APD. Nearly all German nursing homes are now subject to the Health Insurance medical services (MDK) under the respective regional association care funds for quality control.

As announced by Pastor Karl-Heinz Walter, head of the nursing council of Advent-welfare work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, all five licensed nursing facilities in Germany received top marks. The particular care-quality is documented by the school grading system.

Thus, the "Retirement-home Neanderthal" in Mettmann, Nordrhein-Westfalen, the "Retirement-home Uelzen" in Lower Saxony and the "Retirement-home Friedensau" in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt have received the audit grade of 1.1. The "Wittelsbach-home" in Bad Aibling, Bavaria and the "Retirement-home Steglitz" in Berlin were awarded the top score of 1.0.
