The Rise and Walk association is in a continuous search to support people with disabilities during pandemic isolation. In addition to efforts to keep the five mobility centers in operation for urgent cases (Bucharest, Arad, Botosani, Timisoara and Buzau), the Rise and Walk team has developed several projects during this period, including telephone counseling as well as regular meetings on Zoom. Through these steps, we aim to keep in touch with the beneficiaries and thus be able to be closer to them without risk.
Also, together with volunteers and sponsors, we developed the project "You are not alone!". Through that, on several occasions since the beginning of the pandemic, we have distributed social vouchers, food and hygiene products to more than 1000 people with disabilities in most branches from the country.
As long as there are donors with us, we will continue the action of raising the morale of the beneficiaries through product packages. Now, at the end of the year, when the willingness to give is high, I urge you to help people with disabilities so that they do not feel forgotten. We are already glad that many branches and communities have joined us so that our beneficiaries receive support. We wish that, at the end of the year, we all have a unitary spirit in service to people with special needs and I make this Christian call to you:
"And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." Matthew 10:42
