Journalists and technicians from Antena3 TV, the second major TV network in Spain, visited the offices of the Spanish Union of Churches recently for their production of a documentary about women in prison.

Raquel Hernández, journalist, Roberto Bolaños and Armando Rey, technicians from Antena3 recorded in different Seventh-day Adventist locations all over Spain. Their focus was the life changing and conversion ministry developed in Alcalá Meco prison (Madrid).

Pr. Javier Moliner, responsible of Ministry in Prisons for the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Spain explained on camera how the message of hope is brought to inmate women in Alcalá Meco.

This documentary focuses on how encouraging words, full of hope and comfort may bring inmates to raise again and re-conduce their own lives through a new and different lifestyle.

The volunteer labor of visitors every Sunday, bringing the imprisoned women reading materials, as well as clothes and essentials, and oftenly messages from their relatives living overseas. This makes them feel accepted, beloved, valuable despite their past mistakes and makes them willing to become part of the society once again. Reintegration with love and care, on a comprehensive way, facilitating and supporting their journey through positive changes brings them to emulate Christ’s followers.

Last weekend Women Ministries in Spain celebrated a national convention. In this occasion the baptism of one imprisoned woman took place as the public expression of her conversion and life change. Raquel, Roberto and Armando were filming the ceremony, a very emotive one according to the present public.

The documentary will be broadcasted under the title “Reclusas” on Thursday, June 4th at 23:00 h. (European central time, Madrid), through Antena3 TV Network on Digital Terrestrial Broadcast (DTB) and on Internet as well http://www.atresplayer.com/directos/television/
