Starting September 1st, Hope Channel airs in HD-quality via satellite. Television stations have aired German 24-hour-Christian programs everyday since 2009 for children, adults and the elderly. The program motto "Interested in Life" is demonstrated by the numerous programs that cover not only religion, but also questions on health, science and family.

With the change to the HD-TV, the VOICE OF HOPE media center, aired by Hope Channel, will have considerably sharper images for households starting September. Until October 31, 2015 the HOPE Channel program has a wider range than the previous SD channel.

Hope Channel HD TV will be seen through the ORS-platform on ASTRA satellites at 19.2 East via the transponder (frequency: 11.244 GHz).

"Transmitting in HD quality is an important step in the future", said Klaus Popa, Manager of VOICE OF HOPE. "Besides the higher image quality, viewers will also benefit from an easier search for Hope Channel on the list of channels. We are pleased to cooperate with the ORS group and future possibilities arising from such teamwork. Our main job is to produce programs, to help people in their daily life and encourage their faith."

Michael Weber, spokesman for the ORS, adds, "With Hope Channel HD TV, we offer TV viewers another set of High Quality programs on satellite. HD-TV plays an important part for TV viewers. 2.26 million households, which is 64 percent of all TV households, receive their programms from Austria already in high definition, and the demand for HD TV continues to rise."
