Bern, November 7, 2012. [CD-EUDNews].Yesterday night, November 6, 2012, Barack Obama has been re-elected President of the United States of America. He is the first African American to hold the office. The democratic leader has now a 2nd chance to make history through his visionary ideas.

Here some highlights of his first speech after re-election:


"We believe in an America that is generous, compassionate and tolerant…We want a country where everyone can have access to the best schools, that is not overwhelmed by debt and by inequality and where the environment is not damaged… a country where there is respect for everybody…. We want to give our children a secure America…. We are one american family and we will continue to move forward as one nation…. The best is yet to come!"
Obama focused his speech mainly on hope, faith, oneness and equality.

Sheila Jackson Lee (62), Democratic Representative in the U.S. Congress and member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has been re-elected on Novembe 6, with 70 percent of the votes, as the magazine "Spectrum" reports. The lawyer represents the 18th District of Houston, Texas. She's in the House of Representatives since 1995.

Bruno Vertallier, president of the Inter-European Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, congratulates Barack Obama on re-election victory. "We would like to encourage you, President Obama, to continue to focus on hope, faith, equality, peace and respect, universal values that the world needs today more than ever. We'll surely pray for you. May the Lord give you wisdom and faith."
President Vertallier congratulates also Deputy Sheila Jackson Lee, member of the adventist church, on her re-election in the House of Representatives.
