From May 22 to 24, 2023, the secretary of the General Conference of the Adventist Church, Erton Köhler, visited Spain on the occasion of the evangelism campaign "Europe for Christ". Pastor Köhler visited Madrid and Sagunto. At this time, the Ministerial Association had the opportunity to hold several informative meetings.

Madrid

In Madrid, the first meeting began with introductions of all those present. Pastor Köhler wanted to get to know the pastors’ names and responsibilities.

In the pastoral reflections, the need to work to spread a message of hope for all souls was underlined. The word “mission” was the most used word in the meetings. Kohler highlighted the profile of a conservative-modern pastor, i.e. one who remains faithful to biblical principles, but at the same time is open to adapt the language of the gospel. “We need to expand it into every corner, and it should be the strategy and model for every employee of the work,” said Kohler. In concrete and well-intentioned words, the urgency to reach the world with the third angel's message was highlighted.

Sagunto

The meeting of the Sagunto pastors was also attended by the professors of the faculty. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and socialise during another moment prepared especially for them, together with the dean of the faculty, Pastor Victor Armenteros.

In his busy schedule, Pastor Köhler preached every night in the churches of Emmaus, Castellón, and Sagunto Campus, as well as visiting the HopeMedia production centre. Special mention should be made of the evangelistic campaign held in Colmenar Viejo over two weekends.

A long-awaited visit, planned in advance, and full of expectations fulfilled. “Being part of a global family has great challenges. But no matter where in the world”, Pastor Köhler said, “we must not forget that we are a family that announces the soon return of Christ.”
