Bern, August 18, 2014. [D.Hochstrasser, CD-EUDNews]. Denise Hochstrasser, Women’s Ministries Director in the Inter-European Region (EUD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (Adventist), announces the first Inter-European Women’s Ministries (WM) Congress.
“Soon we will come together from all our EUD countries to learn and share about experiences, joys and challenges in our lives” said Hochstrasser. It will be the first such event in history. About 900-1000 participants are expected to meet from September 5-8, 2014 at Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany.
The main emphasis of Women’s Ministries is: Nurture – Empower – Outreach. This ministry has
been concentrating on Nurturing since its beginning, 16 years ago.
Empowering has been the main emphasis since 2010 and Outreach is the purpose of this Congress. “We will continue to do so from now on until Jesus comes again” affirmed EUD WM Director, “In order to reach out to someone, we have to be nurtured and empowered ourselves, so we can reach out to nurture and empower others. We are committed to love people and reach out to them and to touch their hearts with the love of Christ”.
At the Congress participants will learn what Women’s Ministries is all about, how to continue to grow as a woman in Christ and to be a light for men and women in their community. Ellen G. White, American writer and Adventist pioneer, believed that women in the church had a very important role to play in evangelism. “We believe God spoke to her directly and her message should be taken seriously. That is why we have organized this very special conference” said Hoc
hstrasser.
Attendees at the Congress will be able to chose between 17 workshops and listen to special speakers such as Heather-Dawn Small and Raquel Arrais, from the Adventist General Conference, and Dr. Carla Gober Park, Professor at School of Religion at Adventist Loma Linda University, California, USA.
A Delegation from "Desert Flower Centre" from Adventist Waldfriede Hospital in Berlin, Germany, will give some information about solutions that are provided by this Centre concerning Genital Female Mutilations and connected with the topic of EndItNow Campaign.
The wish is that all participants may be blessed by this Congress, that each one of them will leave the place inspired, will return back home with many new ideas, and that all will be empowered to go out and be ready to tell their story.

“Nobody wants to miss this chance. I hope you will be there, too!”
