Young Voices Unite in Worship at the First Ever EUD Vision Song Contest

Music, joy, and worship filled the screen as young people from across Europe lifted their voices to God during the first-ever EUD Vision Song Contest, streamed live on October 24, 2025.

Seven countries presented seven original songs in an evening where creativity met faith, hosted by the Youth Ministries Department of the Inter-European Division (EUD).

More than a contest, this was an evening of praise and worship, in which the name of God was lifted high through the seven original songs composed and performed by youth.

Psalm 96 was the Bible verse that tied the evening together: “Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.”

“To sing something ‘new’ means to recognize that God is still at work today, not only in the past. Every sunrise, every act of mercy, every chance to start again gives us reasons to praise Him. And the psalm isn’t speaking only to one person, but to ‘all the earth’ — it’s a universal invitation. It doesn’t matter the language, culture, or personal story; we are all called to join in the same praise, not out of routine, but out of wonder. To sing to the Lord is to declare that He is still worthy and that our hope in Him does not end.” With these words, Jonatán Bosqued, EUD Youth Ministries Director, gave the official start to the event.

“Every lyric, every song, is a reflection of God’s work in the lives of the young people who created them… Each song is an invitation to worship and praise,” added Alexandra Mora, EUD AMiCUS and Young Adult Specialist, one of the event hosts and organizers.

Each country brought its unique sound and message, yet all pointed to the same hope in Christ.

Romania opened the night with “Astăzi vin” (Today I Come), performed by Abigail Nistor, a beautiful reminder of the salvation we have in Christ.

France followed with, “Lève-toi” (ARISE Youth), written and performed by Dorice Bibrac—an invitation to be like Jesus, walk confidently with Christ, and proclaim His gospel to all nations.

The rhythm of worship then moved south to Spain, where 19-year-old Ana Belén Cortés, the youngest contestant, performed “Has vencido la batalla” (You Have Won the Battle) — a declaration of Jesus’ victory on the cross and our redemption through Him.

As the evening unfolded, each performance revealed a new facet of faith — from surrender to courage, from unity to hope.

The fourth song came from Belgium, “One Purpose”, written and performed by Noa Sorelina. The lyrics carried a message of unity: “We are one in purpose, to proclaim His grace… to bring Him glory by the way we live and the way we love the world.”

Next, Bulgaria reminded everyone of God’s sustaining strength with “Courageous”, performed by Konstantin Tomov— a heartfelt song for those who struggle, doubt, or feel they are not good enough, yet find hope in God.

Representing Portugal, “Envia-me a mim” (Send Me) by Caleb Reis and Rui Jorge Ferreira was an inspiring call to action — an invitation to say, “Here I am, to share the hope of salvation.”

Finally, closing the evening’s performances, Germany lifted our eyes to heaven with “As a Crowd to Heaven”, written and performed by Martim Torre, a celebration of what is to come: eternity with God.

As the final notes faded, the audience was left inspired and deeply moved — seven songs, seven countries, one shared message: God is worthy of our praise.

However, the evening was far from over. The time had come for country juries and viewers to cast their votes.

In true Eurovision style, a country representative joined the program live to grant points to each song, ranging from four to twelve points. After the Jury Votes, the partial results were as follows:

But this was not the end. It was then time for viewers to cast their votes on PollUnit. A total of 2,943 votes were cast, which were then added to the Jury votes, leading the expectant audience to discover the winner song of the 2025 EUD Vision Song Contest: Portugal, with a total of 1,214 votes.

The winner of the song receives a prize of 400 euros and up to five free tickets for the European Adventist Youth Congress that will take place in Valencia, Spain from 4 to 8 August, 2026. Congratulations Portugal!

The EUD Vision Song Contest 2025 was a reminder that worship knows no borders. This evening was all about praise, community and using one’s gifts for God’s glory. As young people continue to use their gifts for God’s mission, the music continues—singing a new song to the Lord.
