Adventus University Days 2025 — A Celebration of Love and Education

Emanuel Sâlâgean.

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the Adventist Campus in Cernica hosted a vibrant event dedicated to teenagers and young people: the 2025 edition of Adventus University Days. The worship moments, programs, and activities were centered around the theme "Education with Love," inspired by the verse from 1 John 4:10 — “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us…” — as well as the title of the book ‘Love Is!’ authored by Pastor Frank M. Hasel.

A highlight of this special Sabbath was the launch of the book in the presence of the author, a publishing project carried out in collaboration with Viață și SănătatePublishing House. Dr. Frank Hasel not only led the book launch but also served as the main speaker, captivating the audience, particularly the youth, with his insightful presentations.

The 2025 edition of University Days commenced on Friday evening with a worship service, during which a significant portion was dedicated to a debate moderated by Ionatan Căluian, a third-year student in the Bachelor's program in Pastoral Adventist Theology. This was followed by a time of fellowship and social interaction.

The following day was filled with thoughtfully organized activities, including worship services, a seminar presented by the guest speaker, a campus tour, an afternoon program, the closing of the Sabbath, and a campfire gathering. Attendees were also treated to high-quality musical performances by various vocal and instrumental soloists, the choir of the “Ștefan Demetrescu” Adventist Theological High School in Bucharest, and the Adventus University Choir.

Both the organizing team and visitors expressed their satisfaction with the experience, appreciating the efforts that went into making the event a success.

“What truly matters isn’t the weather outside, but the 'atmosphere' of the event and, especially, the 'temperature' inside — which is warm and inviting,” stated Prof. Dr. Laurențiu Moț, Rector of Adventus University. “Many young people from various regions of the country, as well as from abroad, have gathered here, and our guest speaker is also international. We thoroughly enjoyed this year’s theme, ‘Education with Love,’ which began our reflections during Friday evening’s debate and continued through the guest’s presentations and various activities”, continued Mot. “I believe this event is incredibly significant for the visiting youth, as it provides them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the campus environment and connect with potential future colleagues. Such gatherings have a lasting impact, benefiting not only those who aspire to become students but also anyone who attends and gains valuable insights that will aid them in life, regardless of their future career paths,” concluded Mot.

“I truly enjoyed the activities I participated in”, so Mădălina Grozavu, 1st-Year Student in Social Work. “It felt rewarding to contribute, and I hope everyone found the event enjoyable. I was delighted to see many of my former classmates from the Adventist High School in Craiova — it felt like a family reunion. Additionally, everything the guest speaker shared was very engaging”, concluded Grozavu.

The 2025 edition of Adventus University Days has now become a part of history, and we eagerly anticipate next year’s event, if God continues to grant His grace. As always, this gathering welcomes all young people seeking a unique spiritual experience, particularly those contemplating enrollment in one of the undergraduate or master’s programs offered on campus, or at the “Dr. Luca” Post-Secondary Health School in Cernica.

This year’s summer admission session will take place from July 7 to 18, with the autumn session scheduled for September 1 to 5. Until then, we warmly invite you to the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025, taking place on Sunday, June 15, at 10:00 a.m. on campus.
